Always, always is the answer to the question, “When do I give thanks to Jesus?”  I live my life giving thanks to Jesus.  I get up thanking Jesus for the day and for what we will discover.  When I feel a sad or a negative thought come into my mind, I thank Jesus for redirecting me.  I thank Jesus for helping me find misplaced items.  When I see something good in the world, community, or at an event, I give thanks to Jesus.  When something makes me smile, I quickly thank Jesus for that moment.  When I see someone with a servant heart, I thank Jesus.  When I see someone in need, I thank Jesus for letting me know how I can help.  When I am struggling with something, I thank Jesus for helping me see the good in the situation.  When I am angry, I thank Jesus for giving me another perspective on the issue.  When I am happy, I just plain thank Jesus!

At this stage, you might be thinking, “Is this woman nuts?”  The point I am making is that I give thanks continuously throughout my day for both significant and insignificant things.  I thank Jesus for reminding me of things, for allowing me time to be with the kids, for giving me a great dinner idea, and for blessing the kids regarding their schooling, sports, and choice of friends.   I am also grateful when Jesus leads me down my intended path.

You might be thinking, “I don’t have time for that”, or “How do you remember to thank Jesus every second of the day?”  My answer is that it becomes a habit to give thanks to Jesus.  My mind automatically directs itself to be grateful to Jesus.  Like anything, at first one has to make a point of taking moments to give thanks to Jesus.  Each day, you find yourself automatically thanking Jesus more than the previous day.  At some point, giving thanks to Jesus becomes a natural and positive habit.
