I have observed many examples of people dealing with their “stuff” productively and intentionally.  We all have “stuff.”  Numerous people might have the same issue at hand, but each individual is unique.  Differences might include age, timing, other complications or circumstances, etc.  It is how we deal with our “stuff” that will make a difference in the long run.  Being intentional regarding how you deal with your “stuff” is very powerful.    For me, being intentional is imperative.  I focus on the present and the future.  Seldom do I allow myself time to dwell on the past.  Although thinking back on…

Getting On Track. Blog #32.

It is very easy to get off track, the hard part is knowing when to refocus on the original task.  On days that I am very busy, I function in a “zone”.  I focus on the task at hand and rarely allow myself to get off track.  Crossing off each task as it is completed.  Writing down additional tasks to be completed later.  It is the days when I have a few moments to spare that I seem to allow myself to drift off track.  I start working on one task and suddenly I am multitasking in a few different…

Setting Yourself Up For Success. Blog #31.

Throughout my life, I have always tried to set myself up for success.  I don’t always achieve success, but I do the necessary preparation so that I have a chance. 1.   School When my girls were in elementary school, we always took 10 minutes before bedtime to make sure that homework and books were in the backpack and placed by the door.  Shoes and coats were out by the backpacks.  Clothes were picked out and placed by the bed.  That 10 minutes of preparation before bed made it easier for us in the morning.  Before school there were no…

Priorities are very personal and something that drives our everyday lives.     1.  Faith When your first priority is your faith, everything else falls into place.  My time with Mary Kay Cosmetics (MK) allowed me to focus my priorities on three key factors, my faith, family, and career.  Always in that order.  It is what I am most grateful for taking away from my experience with MK.  I lived my life knowing the importance of my faith, family, and career; but when I clearly chose faith as my first priority life became much clearer. 2.  Family Family for me is defined…
