United let us stand against racism.
United let us stand against destruction and evil.
United let us stand with forgiveness.
United let us stand with love.
United let us pray for peace.
United let us stand one and all.

United let us stand as people.  We are all equal.  Of course, we have different strengths, but we are all loved by God. Let us stand as equals, no person superior, allowing unity and love to bring peace.  Simple, yet powerful – God loves us all.

United let us stand against racism.  In one of many powerful scenes in the movie Hidden Figures (2016) Al Harrison, (Kevin Costner), removed the “whites only” bathroom sign and announced, “Here at NASA we all pee the same color.”  Let us rid ourselves of the blind prejudice and unite as one.    

United let us stand to eliminate destruction and evil.  Finding ways to mold anger and frustration into productive tools to open our eyes to different perspectives.  To stand in faith to fight off evil.  To fight thoughts of depression and anxiety and to reach out in faith.  Rid oneself of the things that hold one back (anger, anxiety, racism, fear…) in order to stand united.

Let us stand united ready to forgive.  Renew our strength by releasing any ill feelings we have toward other people or nations.  Letting go of the painful past and opening up an opportunity for forgiveness. 

United let us stand with love.  Love opens our hearts and allows us to prepare for new opportunities.  Love facilitates a desire to help others.  It allows us to see when people are in need of assistance.  As love grows so does peace, joy, and faith.

United let us stand with peace.  Forgiveness and love are the building blocks of peace.  With love in one’s heart unity becomes possible.  As we search for purpose in our lives and in our world love is the necessary ingredient to initiate peace.

As we face racism, destruction, and evil with forgiveness, love, and prayer, peace will prevail.  Anger and anxiety will be minimized and faith will flourish.
