Without a doubt, I believe all things are possible. There are no boundaries when Jesus is involved. When we allow our minds to stop controlling what we want and allow Jesus to take control, all things are possible.
Our minds have to be open to possibilities. If you would have told me years ago that I would be writing a weekly blog, I probably would have laughed. There are so many reasons why I am an unlikely choice for blogging.
Writing had never been a strength of mine and it was not something I enjoyed. I don’t have a background in website development. The terminology and design were all foreign to me. In addition, I knew that writing a blog on the topic of faith would likely limit my business career.
Despite all the obvious reasons not to launch a blog, I knew it was my intended path. I set a date and prayed for guidance to complete the project. Sixteen hours after I began my research for the site it was ready to go live.
For each obstacle that I encountered, I prayed for guidance. There were many roadblocks and many solutions. Several times I had to call a help desk. Every time I spoke with someone who was not understanding the issue, our line was disconnected. I would call back and the next person knew the solution and often would help me with things where I didn’t know I needed help.
If I had to develop the site today, I would not know where to start. I have been able to manage for 4 1/2 years uploading the weekly blog and doing minor maintenance.
It would not have been possible for me alone to have designed the site in 16 hours. I knew without a doubt that if my path was to launch a blog, the site would be developed in Jesus’ time. I didn’t worry about what I didn’t know, I moved forward relying on Jesus to provide the information I needed.
When I started to write this week’s blog the first thing that came to mind was all things are possible. I had recently seen a post from a family celebrating their child’s success. The heading on the post read, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19.26).
This child had a lengthy stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit when born and currently is a high school athlete. For anyone who knows the family and has taken the time to hear their story, the post represents a miracle.
A victory along with much pain and suffering. The story is one of hope, love, and amazing inner strength. The child’s parents are both doctors. They knew their child’s chances of survival. Despite the odds, their faith held strong. “… with God all things are possible.”

Here here my friend!
I have a perpetual calendar with spiritual and uplifting and sometimes humorous thoughts and quotations for each day. A recent one really reminded me one morning that despite the many things that are going wrong with my body and the emotional toll of the resulting changes in my life, I am nonetheless blessed and my life still has purpose and meaning. Every day on earth still able to enjoy my family and his creation is still a blessing. And while I can’t physically do so much that I used to love and enjoy, there are other things I can do and God is not done with me yet!
The thought for that day: “That we are alive today is proof positive that God has something for us to do today.”
