The reason I accentuate the positive is that I believe that all things are possible through Jesus. If I have faith that Jesus can do all things, then there is no room for negativity in my life. Moments of frustration occasionally, but I move quickly to prayer and refocus on being thankful.
There are many things each day that I could consider negative or draining on my mental or physical state. I choose to block that perspective and pray my way through the day.
Jesus knows my path before I do and understands why I need to suffer through some difficult situations. When I include Jesus as I move through the issues, I find peace during the storm.
I can’t think of a time when I was unable to move past an issue, so long as I included Jesus. I not only moved through each challenge, but in hindsight, I gained important lessons that guided me to my intended path.
I often hear a friend of mine, Kathy Nemeh, say, “Surrender, give it to God, and leave any negativity out.” Anything allowed by Jesus, accept it, the good and the bad. Accentuate the positive by being thankful for everything that you experience.
Having a positive perspective allows us to be accepting of both the good and the difficult experiences. It makes it easier to apply love, compassion, and kindness to all aspects of our lives.
Love that is true, when applied to everything, is irresistible to Jesus. One can have faith, but it’s not enough if it is not activated by truthful love. Inner peace fills my mind, body, and spirit when I live with love.
Accentuating the positive helps me activate truthful love and strengthens my faith.
