When faith is first in your life, the unknown is far less scary. As you give up control and rely on Jesus clues are given and signs appear that help you find your way and prepare you for what’s to come.
I listen and am alert to different clues that arise. There is a lot of noise that attempts to pull me off track, but when I am drawn to something, I do my best to follow the lead.
I remember having this unusual desire to go buy a book from a bookstore. Bookstores are not something I frequent often. If I go I usually have something specific in mind, purchase it, and leave. I found myself at a table picking up a book on a topic that normally would not have sparked my interest.
My hand reached out for the book but my head didn’t really know why. I put it back down and walked away. There was something pulling me back to that book.
I purchased and read the book. Months later I was very grateful because I was then going through a very similar situation. I’m not sure that reading the book changed the outcome of the situation, but the book prepared me where I might have otherwise been caught off guard.
The unknown was manageable because I was prepared. I was prepared because I had faith in the path that was presented and I trusted that I was reading this book for a reason. I didn’t know the reason nor did I question why. There was no need to worry because I have faith in Jesus.
On a daily basis, Jesus prepares me for the unknown. I seek guidance through prayer, am alert to opportunities, and follow paths that are presented.
I believe I will be prepared for the unknown because I trust in Jesus.
