Pure love brings no limitations. Everywhere we are God is around. Our love for others brings out the power of God. As we journey through life with love our purpose becomes more clear to us. God sees our intentions and rewards love.
At a time that is unknown to us, we will be reverting to the perfect origin. Each of us is an important part of the redemptive act. We have a purpose. As we find pure love our purpose becomes more clear.
Are you able to love everything that you encounter? At first, I was taken aback by the thought of pure love. To be honest, it was a new concept to me.
I had a love for my family and my friends, but I did not love all things equally. Kindness, yes, but I did not have a love for all things.
It was a process for me, a choice I made to better understand the meaning of love. I know through God all things are possible, but I didn’t understand my part in the equation. And I am still learning!
What I did understand was that in order to get closer to Jesus I had to redefine love. It was Path To Faith, Dr. Issam and Kathy Nemeh, who introduced me to a broader definition of love, pure love. A love that goes beyond your circle of influence and extends to everything. Loving others more than you love yourself.
In the beginning, it was a challenge to redirect my thoughts to love. I would get disappointed, hurt, or angry at different situations forming judgments without understanding that I don’t have all the information needed to have an opinion.
I only know my side of the story. Despite the fact that it is my story, my perspective is often warped. It is Jesus who has the inside scoop. As we open ourselves up to love others our perspective becomes more clear.
As I remove judgmental thoughts and limitations of love I find peace and purpose. Going back to a narrow definition of love is not an option for me. I have experienced peace and am uncovering my purpose.
Love is a must on a journey to be closer to Jesus.
