There are times in life when the junk piles high. Okay, I might not literally mean junk piles; my junk usually arrives in the form of problems or obstacles. If I don’t address my issues, they quickly become piles of junk I have to sift through.
Sometimes, not knowing where to start is the largest obstacle. As we look for ways to attack the junk, we quickly lose the energy to begin solving the issue.
First, I go to prayer. Asking Jesus to guide me through the best way to tackle the project. Seeking his guidance on how to start and how he wants me to continue to navigate the problem.
When I include Jesus in problem-solving, solutions surface as I move through the issues. It is my job to formulate the energy and motivation to start and to include Jesus through prayer.
I don’t think in terms of big problems or even look at problems; I solve them. My biggest ally in solving problems is Jesus. He is my go-to, my first source, and I keep him with me, always.
Jesus lives within me 24/7. When junk hits me off guard, and I start to get aggravated, I immediately slow down. Focusing on prayer, I include Jesus and readdress the issue. Whether it is a tangible or intangible problem, I can move through the junk seeking Jesus’ guidance.
I try not to let anything steal my peace. Suggestions and alternatives are considered, but I don’t allow the opinions of people to stop my progress or heighten my junk pile.
For some, we are fortunate to be able to quickly assess and solve issues before they pile up. But even the best problem solvers can get caught off guard. With the right tools, we can reevaluate and address the issue from a new perspective.
The best problem solver I know is Jesus. When I remember to include him in my problem-solving strategies, I no longer am weighted down by junk piles.
