Open To Healing. Blog #196.

Are you open and ready for a healing from God?

One of the most difficult things for me to watch as I move through my journey is people not thinking they are worthy of healing.  Sometimes it is thinking the request is selfish, other times it might be finding the courage to be open to the idea of healing.

Healings can come in all sizes and are often undetected for some time.  I have experienced healings of the heart, of the mind, and of the body.

Relationships with friends have severed and been repaired.  Emotions have run strong and been soothed by prayer.  My uterus was destroyed by fibroids yet refurbished back to its original condition by God, utilizing a talented surgeon.

I may think I need to be healed in one way, but God may have other plans for me.  I may be requesting healing for my body and yet receive a healing of the soul, peace.

Praying for particular healing does not mean we will get what we want.  God hears our prayers but answers them in his time and in the manner he chooses.  In hindsight, I am able to see the beautifully orchestrated path and better understand God’s plan for me.

Are you feeling like your prayers are not answered?  Ask Jesus to guide you to your path and to open your heart to options you may not have been prepared to explore.  You just might find healing as you travel down the path Jesus prepares for you.

My introduction to how to prepare myself for God’s healing came within the pages of the book Miracles Every Day by Maura Poston Zagrans.  Some might read the book and uncover the story of a man of faith.  For me, the book revealed the path to building a life of faith built around love, prayer, and Jesus.
