What Do We See? Blog #432.

“Whoever comes my way, I see Jesus in them.”  I can’t take credit for the quote (anonymous), but I can say that when I think about those words, it makes me smile.  My perspective has been to see love in everyone who comes my way.  So, for anyone on the fence about Jesus, feel free to substitute the word love.

Why would I be comfortable with such a substitution?  Jesus can’t resist love.  So if we are living life from a perspective of love, we are most certainly pleasing Jesus.

If you are uncomfortable with the word Christian, I get it.  In life, there are good and bad influences in just about everything we do, including being Christian.  Ideally, all people have good intentions and actions.

I am a follower of Jesus, but when I look at people, I do not see a religion; I see love.  I don’t care about your religion or lack thereof; I come from a perspective of compassion

I care about your actions, but it is not my place to judge.  It is my choice to see you through the eyes of kindness and understanding.  When toxic, I carefully remove myself from the environment.  Judgment is put aside; I clearly am only aware of my perspective.

I am addicted to living life with inner peace.  My peace requires living with love and having Jesus as my first priority.  How do I live that life?  It is out of my comfort zone to place my priorities on others.  My goal is to lead by example.  I hope that my daily actions speak to my priorities.

This world creates many roadblocks that each of us has to find a way to move through.  When I look at obstacles from a perspective of love, I can navigate with inner peace and block all the noise and chaos tossed my way.

How do I sustain this perspective and stay focused on the light?  I focus on Jesus, and whoever comes my way, in them I see love.
