A Process To Follow. Blog #436.

Each day, I choose to follow the same process with the intent to better serve Jesus.  Some days I am more successful than others.  But I continue to strive to improve from one day to the next.

I believe the necessary ingredient for my daily problem-solving is Jesus.  I have a process to follow that gives me the confidence to move through problems, knowing I am seeking counsel from the ultimate creator, attacking all tasks from a perspective of love while engaging in silent prayer and listening for direction.

Love

A necessary ingredient from the start of any interaction or task is love.  If I am not in the right state of mind when I enter an interaction, it is unlikely that I will be addressing the issue with compassion and understanding.

When I prepare myself centering on love and compassion, I am ready to engage in all interactions.  Those moments I neglect to include compassion, I quickly find myself off track and lacking inner peace.  I have left out Jesus, momentarily forgetting to fill my mind with the necessary ingredient.  Weakening my ability to move through the problem-solving process.

Prayer

With my mind and actions filled with love and compassion, I seek guidance through prayer.  Moving from a specific prayer time to incorporating Jesus in all my daily activities.  Giving thanks in advance for his guidance and again at the end of the interaction.

Listening

I listen for opportunities and direction, keeping Jesus at the forefront of my mind.  Living in the moment, open to opportunities that cross my path.  The more impatient I am, the harder it is to recognize the opportunity.

I can’t overstate the importance of starting my day and interactions with a mindset of love and compassion.  As I move from task to task, I can engage in prayer, knowing that I am including Jesus in my daily journey, being alert and listening for opportunities.

Understanding that for me, the process to follow always includes Jesus.
