Face Your Storms With Hope & Love. Blog #205.

Storms were brewing for our family during 2020 and 2021.  Sometimes we experienced a light shower other times a downpour.  There were times when we were hit with hail and even a few tornados that spun us around and spit us out in every direction.

I believe that many of those reading this blog have also had their share of storms, particularly during the past few years.  The struggles and storms can attempt to throw us off track if we are not equipped with the right tools.  For me, those tools are hope and love.

No matter the strength of the storm I never lose hope for a brighter day ahead.  My faith is strong and in control of my path.  I pray for guidance and listen for the clues that unfold before me.

I never feel alone and know that I am being carried through the darkness.  That doesn’t mean I am spared the pain or storms, but hope provides light to keep me moving through the storms.

Prayer guides me and hope encourages me to persevere through tough times.  When I focus on love,  problems take on a new perspective.

I strive to live my life centered on love.  I manage to keep my focus most of the time, but I have my moments when my temper flares, and I seek forgiveness

During troubled times I pray for the strength to continue to address issues with love.  When all things are addressed through a perspective of love, it is easier to see the issues and resolve the problems.

Love, kindness, and compassion all make the storms tolerable.  I had to teach myself how to live a life of love.  I don’t like how I act when I approach an issue in anger.  I am purposeful about changing my perspective when I get thrown off course.  My thoughts change to love and judgments disappear.

During the holiday season, we are likely to face a few storms.  Hope and love are the tools I rely on to keep myself on course throughout my journey.  When one’s faith is strong one will weather any storm.
