I have always been one to think in terms of the glass half full. That does not mean that I have been happy with everything in my life, but it does mean that I seek out a positive perspective.
We all have varying degrees of physical, emotional, and financial challenges. Life is not fair, but we do have a choice as to how we respond to those challenges.
Sometimes we have to reach deep within ourselves to find something positive. A major accomplishment might be having the energy or ability to get up in the morning. Getting up to start your day is a win and something that should be celebrated.
My journey has shown me firsthand how important it is to be able to redefine your perceptions of a glass half full. As life brings us new challenges we have to make peace with the new and find ways to celebrate and be thankful.
I am fully aware that a positive outlook is easier for some to find than for others. It is a choice that I make each day. A choice to look at things with hope. To be both realistic and optimistic. I understand the current situation, yet I believe all things are possible.
When I feel myself experiencing negative thoughts I thank Jesus, in advance, for helping me change my perspective. I look for the positive, but not the fake. I am not trying to trick myself, I am allowing myself to find encouragement through Jesus.
Love, faith, hope, and prayer are all essential ingredients in my everyday life. Love opens my heart to compassion. Faith allows me, without a doubt, to believe all things are possible. Hope provides an opportunity for a brighter tomorrow and prayer an opportunity to thank Jesus.
I anxiously await a world where there is no pain and suffering; until then, I choose to keep a positive perspective with the glass half full.
