Refinement. Blog #318.

I feel I am in a constant state of refinement.  Praying to be shown all the events in my life for which I need forgiveness.  A work in progress striving to live my life with love and inner peace.

Often my life is replayed in front of me.  I’ll see signs of things that I should’ve done differently.  Through prayer, I ask to be shown what it is I need to refine, improve, and concentrate on regarding my faith, love, and service to Jesus.

With patience, I am shown specific situations where I have done something that was not implemented in a manner pleasing to Jesus.  I ask for forgiveness, thank Jesus for making me aware, and implement those changes into my life.

As I refine things I gain peace and strength in Jesus.  I am better able to live and serve him in the way he wishes.  If I choose not to change those things, I continue to swim upstream experiencing stress throughout the roadblocks.

Some of the things that I’ve changed are being thankful for the good and the bad.  All the experiences that lead me to live and serve better. I’ve changed my ability to love, not only my family and friends but others equally.  I’ve been able to be more prayerful, and more forgiving, and I’ve been able to live with complete inner peace.

Challenges will still present themselves.  Through prayer, I am guided in the direction of my intended path.

Serving Jesus is not always easy. It’s simple, but it does not mean that your life will be without issues. It doesn’t mean that you’re struggling or suffering any less than anyone else. But what it does mean, is that you struggle and suffer in peace. That you have the strength of Jesus behind you, as you move through life’s challenges.

Over time Jesus will open our eyes to all that needs forgiveness.  I pray that I am open and alert to all opportunities for refinement as I continue to surrender to Jesus.
