Out of Harm’s Way. Blog #430.

As I trust in Jesus, peace is present, and I am out of harm’s way.  I am not eliminated from struggling or suffering.  Nor am I sheltered from emergencies.  But I have something that allows me to persevere through anything I am intended to experience.  Some might call that faith, others peace, and some might choose to think I was born with an ability to see the positive.

I simply choose Jesus.  Knowing always that I will make it out of harm’s way if I give my trust to him, my intentions are good, and my actions are in line with my beliefs.  The must-have ingredient is love.

Without love, the recipe is a flop.  It is the secret sauce to living a life with peace.  Faith alone is not enough; there must be love.  And the love must be put to action.

I have known numerous people in my life who may have looked as though they were not living a life of love.  However, their actions (often without others knowing) were packed with compassion and kindness.  Gruff on the outside, yet a giving heart.  Their actions, full of love, lead them to peace.

When faced with struggles, people who put love into action move through the issue.  They know that no matter the outcome, it will be what is intended.  In addition to understanding, there is a sense of peace that will not leave, no matter the outcome of the suffering.

I wear the “Armor of God” and trust that under all circumstances, I will find a path through the storm.  It is unlikely that I will be sheltered from the storm, but I will be guided through.

I have experienced enough challenges during my life to know firsthand that if I allow Jesus to guide my path, total control, peace will prevail, and keep me out of harm’s way.
