Believe Without Reservation. Blog #444.

I am a glass-half-full person, but even in the toughest times, what helps me maintain that perspective is believing I’m going to have a great day.  I don’t just say it or think it; I believe it without reservation.

I have had people give me supported arguments as to why “If you believe it, you can achieve it” is not a valid statement.  I understand that there are times we believe we can do something and we fall short. However, I am a firm believer that if I don’t have faith in all that is possible, I am underestimating life’s beautiful journey.

I feel the same about affirmations.  When we say good things out loud and hear them, our perspective is adjusted positively.  Anything can be blown out of perspective and make us prideful, but in general, affirmations can help us start our day with a positive perspective.

It’s not for everybody, but if I wake up feeling bad about myself or negative about the day, affirmations open up the possibility of joy.  It is very difficult to have a positive interaction when everything we feel inside is negative.  Saying affirmations might not rid us of all negativity, but it can open the door to positivity.

It is my faith that grounds me in knowing that all things are possible through Jesus.  Putting limits on what I think is possible would mean that I don’t have true faith.  Yes, I fully understand that what I believe possible might not actually happen.  The important part is that I never give up understanding that all is possible through Jesus.

It is my decision to believe that when bad things happen, Jesus will guide me through the issues.  I choose to believe that I will gain something positive out of my struggles.  Always knowing that light is present even in my darkest moments.  When light is hard to find, it is a prayer away.

I don’t decide what healings, solutions, or opportunities cross my path, but it is my decision to believe without reservation that all things are possible through Jesus.
