Not looking back, not moving far into the future, staying focused on today, living in the moment. Being careful not to allow ourselves to get caught up in all the noise.
Understanding that we have a lot of responsibility and need to take action, but moving through the day, allowing Jesus to have control. Staying centered in peace, moving through all the noise around us. Focusing on the present allows us the ability to alter our path as we serve. Being present in the moment allows us to take action when the Holy Spirit guides us.
Pushing away thoughts that cloud the mind and that weigh heavy, giving them to Jesus. Moving through the issues that we can change. Removing the stress, worrying, and anxiety regarding things that we cannot change.
If we can’t rid ourselves of the stress and worry, it starts to weigh us down like heavy bricks being put on our backs. When we try to push through all the stress and worry without Jesus, the load gets heavier and heavier. Until we get to a point where we are hardly able to function. The mind is cluttered with obstacles. It gets more and more difficult to move through the day. Becoming paralyzing and preventing forward movement.
The only relief I know is to focus on removing those worries, giving them to Jesus. It’s not easy. Stress and anxiety have become a major part of our society; working through those obstacles daily is exhausting.
All things are possible through Jesus; no obstacle is too big, no anxiety or stress too difficult. We just have to be willing to let go of the issues and believe Jesus will provide an opportunity to eliminate each obstacle. I can’t always change the outcome of the heavy obstacles, but through Jesus I have found a path of peace through focusing on the now and releasing control to him.
Stress and worry are rampant in this world, which is exactly where Satan wants us, unable to function with inner peace. When we respond to life in this manner, we are delighting the enemy with our dysfunction.
The reason it is difficult for us to rid ourselves of stress and worry is that it is something Satan wants to see prevail. Yes, we know that he has already been defeated, but wouldn’t it be nice to live with inner peace until the day we see the victory?
Focus on now, living in the moment, releasing the turmoil to Jesus, listening for the solutions, and living each day with inner peace.
