As we move closer to this very special holiday, I am filled with hope. Although I know it is a time of year that is difficult for many, in my darkest times I reach for hope… the very reason for this season.
When it feels like nothing is going right in my life I look at my priorities. Often I find that I am getting in my own way. I go back to my number one priority, my faith. I let go of control and leave it to faith. During the dark times, the only way out for me is to rely on Jesus. When I let go of control and let my life be led by faith solutions unfold, troubles begin to disappear, and hope surfaces.
Hope and prayer lead me in the right direction. Hope, faith, prayer, and love center me and provide guidance and help determine my joy. We have the power to make a choice, often the choice is very difficult, but we do have a choice.
Hope is easy to see during the good times, it’s through the darkness when things get difficult. The darkness is never a time to waiver, it is the time to focus on hope and prayer and strengthen one’s commitment and reliance on Jesus.
It takes courage to focus on hope, surrender to Jesus, and believe through the good times and the tough times. The rewards are bountiful, the joy and peace unmeasurable, and the love addicting.
I’m not one to publicly talk about my faith. My journey is very personal to me. It is my hope that my faith is evident as I move through my daily life. My strength is driven by my faith and my faith is illustrated by love.
I choose the opportunity to live life with peace, hope, joy, and Jesus. It is my hope this season and beyond that, we will feel the strength of Jesus. That our actions will be led by faith, prayer, and love. That we will remember the reason for the season, and be grateful for all that we are given.
Merry Christmas and abundant blessings!
