Restore. Blog #186.

It is time to restore our self-esteem, faith, and hope.  A recurring theme as I walk through life is stress and anxiety.  In years past it is not something that has been part of my everyday conversations.  Currently, there is seldom a day that goes by without having a serious conversation with someone regarding a form of stress or anxiety.

I believe all the stress and anxiety people are facing puts a strain on our self-esteem.   We start to question if we are enough.  We begin to talk poorly about ourselves rather than treating ourselves with respect.  It is time to stop and ask if we are treating ourselves with the kindness for which we treat others.

How do we see ourselves?  Do we see that we are worthy of love?  Are we relying on our faith to help us find solutions to our daily stress and anxiety?  There are times when we might momentarily forget the strength of our faith and attempt to work through our issues alone.

Those times when I get discouraged I give my worries to Jesus and ask for the strength to see hope.  I look for any opportunity to change my mindset to find beauty and goodness.  I make a decision to look for reasons to have renewed hope.

As we restore hope in our lives it is important to be kind to ourselves.  Prayer guides us to our path and helps us find our purpose.  A good attitude and effort play a role in restoring faith and hope.

With the anxiety that is surfacing throughout generations, it is important to feel self-worth.  We need to like ourselves.  We need to be able to say, “I am enough.”  I might be broken, but I am a survivor and rely on my faith to continually restore hope.
