The Gift Of Love. Blog #258.

The gift of love, something you can’t buy, something you choose to embrace, something that is free to all, yet is underutilized by many of us.  Love, prayer, and gratitude guide my journey and strengthen my relationship with Jesus.  Once I expanded my capacity to love I found peace in all areas of my life.

When you live life with love in your heart you have compassion for all.  Frustration, anger, and stress over daily life disappear and peace takes center stage.  It is a gift that is affordable to all.  A gift that changed my thought process and brought understanding to a world with much chaos.

I didn’t just suddenly have love in my heart one day.  We all have the ability to love and I thought my actions were derived from love.  However, I found that as I put more effort into focusing on love, my life became much more peaceful and my faith grew stronger.

I made love a priority and it gradually became easier to choose a perspective of love.  I have my moments, but there are many more moments of love than frustration. It is a choice that I make. The choice to understand that I don’t know what’s going on in other people’s lives.  A realization that there are many reasons people react the way they do.  To love unconditionally is a choice.

I trained myself to flip the switch to love.  Every time I feel frustrated or angry, I choose to change my thoughts to love.  It took time, but with practice, it has become a habit.  I choose to live a life of peace, love, and gratitude.

Shutting down the negative thoughts, I redirect myself to love.   I say a simple prayer to redirect myself and remind myself it is not my job to judge

Forgiveness is often necessary if I step out of line.  Most of the time I need to forgive myself, and those involved and ask for forgiveness from Jesus.

Next, I am grateful.  Thanking Jesus for directing me down my path.  Praising him for all that is going on in my life and thanking him for the gift of love.

No matter the circumstances, we always have the gift of love.  Love, prayer, and gratitude are available to all, anytime, free of charge.  Thank you for sharing the gift of love.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
