I love to find ways to make things simple.  Have you ever experienced being around something that is delivered in a complicated manner despite no apparent reason?  When that happens I tend to lose the message all while creating a simpler version in my head and moving on to other issues that are flooding my mind.  

The world needs detail, expertise, and brilliant minds.   But not all of us can process the basics while drowning in the detail.  Each of us has expertise in various areas.  Even if we think we don’t, we do.   If I had to work at my kids’ places of employment it would be difficult, until I was trained. 

Just as it is difficult to function when we are not trained, it is difficult to grow and learn when the process is more complicated than necessary.  Making things simple opens the door for people like me to partake in learning. 

Growing closer to Jesus is not complicated.  It does take some effort and patience.  I had to change my thought process and how I defined love.    I was fortunate to be exposed to someone who lives her life with unstoppable faith, abundant love, and purposeful prayer.

Kathy Nemeh is that person.  She heads up Path to Faith and is a positive force recruiting for Jesus.  Her life is not perfect, things do not come easily, and her family is not without pain and suffering.  However, she is at peace with Jesus.  Her love for others shines brightly, sometimes with kindness other times with tough love but always stems from compassion and being ready to serve others.

Her strategy is simple, love and service.  She serves others in visible ways, but it is her connection and service through prayer that is her “secret sauce.”  Gifting all those who cross her path with a silent prayer.  Walking through life and spreading compassion, she is a friend to everyone who knows her.   

Expertise and knowledge are wonderful, but it is when love shines through a person that I know I have found someone who is genuine.  Most of the time I see love as the person moves through their daily routine.  It is the simple things that shine.  It is about noticing a need, thinking of others, and being helpful without expecting something in return.     

My journey has been very simple.  Opening myself up to loving all things, being thankful, forgiving myself and others, trusting my faith, serving others, and praying my way through the day.  I started simple, adding one component at a time.  Very quickly those simple things became the fuel to my daily existence.
